Barry Malone is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
Born in Ireland, he has lived in and reported from Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Tunisia, Libya, Iraq, Qatar and the US.
Barry particularly enjoys focusing on under-reported stories and the impact global events have on ordinary people.
Previously he was a Reuters correspondent, acting managing editor of Al Jazeera Digital and executive producer of The Stream, Al Jazeera's flagship live talk show. He has also worked for Amnesty International and the United Nations.
